Hats + Flats

First of all, let us just acknowledge that hats are EVERYWHERE. Hats are one of my favorite accessories for ALL four seasons – especially winter. Secondly, a hat can completely transform your entire outfit and hide your lazy-dirty-hair days (because we all know we all have them)! By being mindful of color and the size of the brim, it can completely trend-ify your look! I know many of you guys may think, “I am so not a hat person” or “my head doesn’t fit in hats.” I will have you babes know, that these days designers are coming up with some fancy ways to fit your head. One of my favorite hats that have the flexibility to fit different sizes is Eugenia Kim – especially their Genie by Eugenia Kim line. Eugenia Kim’s design team, created a jaw-string on the inside of their hat designs that allow you to make it tighter or looser. So clever, I dig it! Another fun aspect to consider is the size of brim you want to invest in. Notice if the brim is thick, thin, wide, short etc., it’s a small subtle feature but one you need to pay attention to because no face and head is alike. Don’t fear though, – if you are mindful of these small details and tricks, you too can rock a hat!

In case you didn’t hear, flats are making a comeback and I simply adore them! It makes for quick, easy and comfortable style that can be worn in a million different ways! Whether you have a meeting, date or a job interview, the right flat can fully elevate your look. Flats can be worn with skirts, denim, slacks or even boyfriend jeans! Coming from a true high heel lover, it sure is sweet to take a break from the…pain. Here’s to hoping this trend lasts for a bit!
